Established in 2001, San Francisco Neighborhood Centers Together (SFNCT) is a network of seven Neighborhood Centers throughout San Francisco. Our member centers serve their diverse communities through a variety of programs and services. SFNCT seeks to strengthen our network of centers by facilitating collaboration, leveraging fundraising, and collectively engaging with city and nonprofit leaders.
The Opportunity
We are seeking to hire an experienced and creative Grant Writer to help grow the organizational capacity and impact our Neighborhood Centers have in their respective communities. The ideal candidate is well-versed in both grant prospecting and grant writing and can customize their approach to meet the unique needs of each center.
Duties
Research grants that will be competitive funding opportunities for centers
Write grant applications in partnership with centers to win new funding sources
Develop relationships with foundations, corporations, and governmental bodies that can be funding partners
Deliver work that advances the developmental goals of our member centers
Qualifications
Has a passion and commitment to the mission of our Neighborhood Centers and the populations they serve
Has a proven track record and experience in both grant writing and development
Is a self-starter able to take initiative and show ownership of projects
Knowledge and relationships within the nonprofit ecosystem within the Bay Area
Details
This is a remote role
This is a part-time contract position with the expectation of approximately 120 hours
The contract end date is June 30, 2021, with a possibility for renewal
